Paolo decanter for natural wines lovers

The Paolo decanter was created in October 2024 to celebrate the friendship of Paolo Pecoraro, the producer of Pecorello di Pecoraro wine, with the ceramic artist Gennarino Condurso, son of Paolo Condurso, from whom he inherited the art of ceramics.

It takes its name from the Calabrian artist Paolo Condurso, a world-famous artist from Seminara Calabria who inspired the work of Pablo Picasso. The decanter shape is inspired by a bottle created by Paolo Condurso in the 1970s.

This handmade Seminara ceramic decanter has a ring shape so that the wine flows between the rings, becoming oxygenated and decanted easily.

The Paolo decanter is made of Seminara, Calabria clay, enameled on the outside with semi-gloss enamel and coated on the inside with lead-free crystalline suitable for food.

The ceramic technique arrived in Calabria from Greece during the Greek colonization, when southern Italy was part of Magna Graecia, the cradle of civilization in the 8th century BC.

Our master ceramist Gennarino Condurso creates every single piece by hand, giving each a unique character. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, there may be small differences in the size and weight of each decanter, as well as slight imperfections or variations on the surface.
